Return of the Swan's Festival

The festival goes on even though there's been no signs yet of tundra swans.

Lambton Heritage Museum spokesperson Gwen Watson says the "Return of the Swan's" festival starts Saturday.

The festival runs until April 5.

Each year the tundra swans migrate some 65 hundred kilometers from the U-S east coast to breeding grounds in the Canadian Arctic.

They rest and feed for two or three weeks each year in the Thedford bog area.

In the past, Watson says the swans have arrived anywhere from the first week in February to the first week of April.
