SLEP Makes Funding Request

Sarnia-Lambton Economic Partnership is asking county council for one time funding of $155,000 for three projects in 2015.

The funding would be used towards a government relations strategy, potential development of a heavy haul corridor and upgrades to their website, which was last updated in 2007.

SLEP General Manager George Mallay the heavy haul corridor would be very beneficial to local industry.

Mallay says they will also be looking at further implementing the new community brand that was unveiled in December of last year.

County Council will make a decision on the grant request at budget deliberations Wednesday March 18.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
