Lanxess Sarnia (Blackburnnews.com File Photo)Lanxess is reporting what it calls a minor hydrocarbon release in the butyl unit at its Sarnia site Wednesday morning.
An email from the company says just after 7am hydrocarbons leaked from a small crack in the body of a tank.
Spokesperson Gabriela Garcia says the situation was handled by internal emergency response personnel and finished just after 9am.
Garcia says there were no injuries and no impacts to adjoining properties or impacts to the environment.
Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
