Twin Pines Cider Gets International Awards

A local cider company is being recognized internationally for three of its products. Thedford's Twin Pines Orchard and Cider House recently captured three bronze awards at the Alltech Craft Brews and Food Fair in Dublin, Ireland.

Co-owner Mark Van Steenkiste says their ice cider along with the Hammer Bent original and red were showcased at the event.

Van Steenkiste says Twin Pines was the only company to take home awards for each of their entries.

He says they captured best in show at last year's Great Lakes International Cider & Perry Competition and hope to have similar success at this year's upcoming event.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
