Maple Syrup Festivals This Weekend

Lambton County's two largest maple syrup festivals are being held this weekend. The Ipperwash Maple Syrup Festival is being held both Saturday and Sunday this weekend and next.

Williamson Farms Co-owner Al Williamson invites people to check out the operation at their farm. [audio mp3="http://blackburnnews.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/Maple-Syrup-Festival-three.mp3"][/audio] Williamson says tours at the farm go from 9am to 5pm each day with hayrides at Silver Birches Campground on Army Camp Rd. next door from 9am-3pm.

The Forest Kiwanis is hosting an "all you can eat" pancake breakfast from 9am-2pm at Thedford's Legacy Center.

The A.W. Campbell Maple Syrup Festival in Alvinston goes this weekend from 9am-4pm each day with pancake and sausage meals to be served at the Alvinston Community Centre.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
