Early Spring Snow

Some early spring off-lake flurry activity in Sarnia developed off Lake Huron Sunday morning backed by a cold north wind.

The ministry of transportation reported some partly snow covered sections on highways 402 and 40.

City streets also became slick and caution was being advised.

Accumulation amounted to about 2 cm.

Unseasonably cold weather was forecast to continue Sunday into Monday with an overnight low of -10 C (14 F).

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
