Busses Cancelled Due To Freezing Rain Warning

A freezing rain warning issued by Environment Canada at mid afternoon Tuesday prompted the cancellation of school busses across Lambton-Kent Wednesday morning.

Freezing rain, for the most part however, did not materialize in the Sarnia area for the morning commute and the warning was ended by 10am.

Cancellations included busses in all zones in the public and Catholic school system, Hull Bus Lines for Aamjiwnaang First Nation and Sarnia Community Living Wawanosh Day Programs, Kettle Point busses to Forest and Sarnia, Sarnia Christian school busses and the Francophone bus.

Busses are to pick up students in the afternoon however. Hillside busses in Kettle Point were running on a two-hour delay. Kings Kids Nursery School closed Wednesday.

Environment Canada says the chance of freezing rain diminished as temperatures rose and precipitation remained straight rain.
