First Hazardous Waste Day Of 2015

The first Hazardous Waste Day of the year is Saturday.

Lambton Public Works Manager Jason Cole says residents can properly dispose of a number of different household items at Clean Harbors.

Batteries, pesticides, pool chemicals, cleaning solutions, paints and more will be accepted.

You cannot dispose of PCB's, commercial, industrial and radioactive wastes, electronics and explosives including flares and ammunition.

Saturday's event at the Telfer Road facility runs from 8am until 2pm. Residents are reminded to have items clearly labelled.
