City Hall Phone Service Disruption

The City of Sarnia's after hours auto-attendant and voice-mail functions are not working this Easter weekend due to technical difficulties with the telephone system.

City Manager Margaret Misek-Evans says for non-emergent matters the public can make inquiries by email by using the Feedback Form on the city website www.sarnia.ca under 'Living Here.'

For issues related to city services like water main breaks, animal control and downed tree limbs the normal protocol is in place to contact Sarnia police at 519-344-8861 ext. 5263. The telephone service disruption is not affecting emergency 911 services.

Misek-Evans says regular phone service will resume through the city hall switchboard during business hours Tuesday April 7. She says staff expects to have the auto-attendant and voice-mail back in service after hours Tuesday evening.
