Mass Casualty Simulation At RBC Centre (Gallery)

An intense scenario unfolded at Sarnia's RBC Centre Wednesday.

A yearly mass casualty simulation was staged involving a zamboni driver that had hit a natural gas line.

Made up victims requiring various degrees of care were scattered throughout the stands.

Lambton College Paramedic Professor Lynn McCreary says paramedic, nursing, fire and police foundation students were put to the test.

McCreary says the hands on learning experience gives students the opportunity to practice and be evaluated on the skills they've learned over the past two semesters.

A debriefing was planned following the mock exercise.
