No Money For SGH Developers

Developers behind the Sarnia General Hospital Health Campus are walking away empty handed.

The five local businessmen were denied a request for reimbursement of $50,000.

Sarnia City Council voted seven to three against the motion. Councillor Bev MacDougall says it was the right decision.

Mike Kelch was in favour of issuing the reimbursement, stating the group did the city a service.

Meantime, council is still awaiting the final legal ruling on ownership of the building and the responsibilities that go with ownership.

A decision is expected within four months.
