Yurchuk Named Lambton Elderly Outreach CEO

The new chief executive officer with Lambton Elderly Outreach wants to increase the exposure of the not-for-profit agency.

Bill Yurchuk lost his job at the local Canadian Cancer Society branch because of cutbacks in February, but says he's excited to be on the job at an agency that serves over 2,000 clients.

70% of LEO's $2.7-million budget comes from the government so Yurchuk says he'll be looking into ways to not only increase fundraising efforts, but determine how the donations can be best utilized.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
