Upgrades Planned At Sarnia Christian School

Sarnia Christian School will undergo $1.2-million in renovations beginning this summer.

Paperwork for the project that is being funded through pledges and donations is expected to be submitted to the city by month's end.

Principal Len Smit says some of the original sections of the school, at Exmouth St. and Pontiac Dr., were built in the 1950's and wear and tear is starting to show.

He says there are a number of components to the upgrade including the tear down and rebuild of the north portion.

Smit says there will also be added space for large group gatherings.

Pending city approval, it was hoped the project could get underway in July.
