Man Arrested In Stolen Vehicle Roll Over

Lambton OPP launched a search and arrested a suspect Tuesday following a stolen vehicle roll over crash.

Police responded to the 6000-block of Confederation Line in Plympton-Wyoming.

An S.U.V. that had been stolen from the city of Sarnia was found with significant damage, but the operator was nowhere to be found.

The OPP secured the area while members of the Emergency Response Team and K9 Unit searched for the driver and any potential suspects.

During the search, officers became aware of a break-in to a neighbouring home and a short time later a man was found hiding within a nearby agricultural property.

Corey Devin Maness, 26, of Sarnia is charged with possession of property obtained by crime, break and enter to a residence, theft under $5,000, failing to stop at the scene of an accident and breach of probation.

Police are asking any potential witnesses to give them a call at 519-882-1011.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
