McKay Starts Role With School Board In June

Sarnia's director of finance is set to take on his new role as superintendent of business and board treasurer at the Lambton Kent District School Board June 1.

Brian McKay takes over for Ron Andruchow who was with the board since 1989. Andruchow is retiring at the end of July and will help McKay with the transition into the new role.

Director Jim Costello says McKay's wealth of financial and business experience will be a key asset, noting he's a chartered accountant with experience in the public sector and corporate accounting.

McKay has been Sarnia's finance director since 2007 and started with the city 12 years ago as deputy treasurer. His final day will be May 22.
