Woman Injured In Vehicle Fire

The St. Clair Township Fire Department continues to search for the cause of a car fire Wednesday afternoon, that sent a 70-year-old woman to hospital with serious burns to her legs, arms, back, neck and head.

Fire Chief Walt Anderson says nearby motorists helped her out of the vehicle after it burst into flames around 4pm at Brigden Rd. and Petrolia Line.

Anderson says the interior of the vehicle was engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived but there was no fire in the engine compartment.

The woman's name has not been released.
