Community Parks Clean-Up Saturday

Sarnia residents are invited to take part in a community parks clean-up this weekend.

The city's Parks and Rec Department will be spearheading clean-ups at Canatara and Rainbow Parks from 10am until 12:30pm Saturday.

Spokesman Ryan Chamney says the parks are especially dirty this time of year after the snow melts.

Local groups and teams can also pitch in to clean one of the city's other parks if they choose.

Those wishing to take part in the clean-up can register at www.sarniagives.ca.

The Sarnia-Lambton After Hours Rotary Club will be holding a free BBQ at Canatara Park afterward. NOVA Chemicals is providing clean-up kits.
