Update: Car Fire Still Under Investigation

A 70-year-old St. Clair Township woman burned in a vehicle fire Wednesday afternoon is now said to be in critical, but stable condition in London hospital.

When firefighters arrived on scene at Brigden Rd. and Petrolia Line the interior of the car was fully engulfed but there was no fire in the engine compartment.

Other motorists helped the woman get out and she was rushed to hospital.

An electrical engineer from the Ontario Fire Marshall's office will be looking at the vehicle Tuesday to try to determine the cause of the blaze.
