YMCA Receives Financial Boost

The YMCA has received a financial boost from a local insurance company.

Economical Insurance and their local broker partner Gamble Insurance donated $20,000 to the YMCA's Strong Kids Campaign.

Financial Development Officer Barbie Cavaliere says the donation will help under local under privileged families.

Cavaliere says the donation is a major boost to their yearly campaign, and has brought them to 60 per cent of their annual fundraising goal of $202,000.

The money will stay local and benefit those in Sarnia-Lambton.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
