Convenience Store Robbery Suspect Arrested

The Sarnia Police Service has made an arrest in connection with a robbery at the Mac's Milk store at 299 Confederation St. in the early morning hours Friday April 24.

Constable John Sottosanti says thanks to several tips from the public, officers executed a warrant around 6:15pm Sunday at a Finch Dr. apartment and arrested a 37-year-old Sarnia man.

He's charged with robbery and robbery with a disguise.

Police continue to investigate whether another robbery February 13 at the same store involved the same suspect.

In the execution of the warrant Sunday, officers also arrested a 23-year-old woman for breach of probation and a 34-year-old man for breach of recognizance.

All three, along with another 23-year old woman, were charged with possession of a controlled substance.

All were being held for bail hearings.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
