City Councillors Benefit From Technology Credit

Sarnia councillors will now be reimbursed for new laptops and tablets.

The $700 technology credit is for councillors who only have a seat on city council and is only available once per term.

The idea was brought forward by Councillor Brian White who feels the use of laptops and tablets may improve communication.

The purchase of laptops and tablets is not mandatory for councillors, as several have already been using their own personal devices.
