Point Edward To Host FireFit Challenge

A prestigious nationally televised firefighters competition is coming to Point Edward this summer!

Competitors in the Scott FireFit Challenge climb, pull, hammer, spray and drag their way to victory.

Village CAO Jim Burns says the event takes place in the Livingston St. parking lot on Mackinac Weekend, July 18 and 19.

FireFit Canadian and World Champion and Ian Van Reenen, who is a volunteer with the Point Edward and Fire Rescue Service will have the opportunity to compete in his home town.

The event will be held in conjunction the Point Edward Optimists Bridge Bash and the Rotary Club of Sarnia's Mackinac breakfast.
