Bluewater Anglers Salmon Derby Ends

There were no new leaders on the final day of the Bluewater Anglers 39th Annual Salmon Derby.

The Daily Big Fish winner is Jeff Borney of Petrolia with a 15.02 lb. lake trout.

The Daily Draw winner at the Port Franks weigh station is Gary Williams of Forest.

The Daily Draw winner at the Sarnia weigh station is Kathy George of Sarnia.

There were 22 fish entered at the Sarnia weigh station and 34 fish were entered at the Port Franks weigh station for a Salmon Derby total of 1001 fish.

The unofficial winners in the Bluewater Anglers 39th Annual Salmon Derby are ... - Tim Nolan of Camlachie in the Salmon category with a 17.44 lb. salmon. - Richard Wilson of Grand Bend in the Trout - Boat category with a 11.26 lb. rainbow trout. - Mike Howie of Sarnia in the Trout - Shore category with a 11.30 lb. rainbow trout. - Tricia Geerts of Sarnia in the Lake Trout category with a 19.80 lb. lake trout. - Barry Smith of Sarnia in the Walleye category with a 7.74 lb. walleye. - Tricia Geerts of Sarnia is the Ladies Day winner with a 19.80 lb. lake trout. - Jake Van Rooyen is the Seniors Day winner with a 12.70 lb. salmon. - Fin Wells of London is the Kids Big Fish winner with a 14.14 lb. lake trout.

The final, official Salmon Derby will be published after the Salmon Derby Committee meets on Monday evening to review and finalize the derby entries.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
