Bluewater Power Offers Energy Saving Tips

With hydro prices having increased again effective this month, Bluewater Power is offering tips to reduce energy consumption this summer. The price from 11am to 5pm is now 16.1 cents per kilowatt hour, compared with eight cents for off-peak hours on weekdays from 7pm to 7am, and all day on weekends and holidays.

It's estimated the change will add $5.71 to the average monthly household electricity bill. Bluewater Power CEO Janice McMichael-Dennis says there are ways to find cost savings including keeping your house temperature a few degrees higher. Also May 1, delivery rates increased 0.3 per cent.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
