Pinery Park Ready for Long Weekend

Officials at Pinery Provincial Park are prepared for a busy start to the summer camping season.

The long Victoria Day weekend heralds the unofficial start of summer. Pinery Natural Heritage Supervisor Alistair MacKenzie said Friday they had just 28 non-electric sites left but were still open for day use from 8am to 10pm. He reminds campers that The Pinery, like other provincial parks, is alcohol-free through Victoria Day Monday.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
