A transport truck tractor parked at the Prescott Dr. facility caught fire shortly before 12:30pm.
A tanker and two other tractors parked nearby sustained exposure damage in the blaze.
No injuries are reported.
Sarnia Fire and Rescue say the blaze was quickly brought under control and the cause remains under investigation.
SPS Board Chair Kelly Ash said the decision followed discussions with Acting Chief Mike Federico and aligns with practices at other police services.
