Penalty Possible After Vehicle Found In Soccer Net

Sarnia police have returned a vehicle to its rightful owner after it was found in an unlikely place Wednesday morning.

Constable John Sottosanti says a station wagon was stolen from a home in central Sarnia sometime overnight, and abandoned on a soccer field at Germain Park.

Constable Sottosanti says the owner admitted to keeping a spare set of keys inside the vehicle and that it was likely left unlocked.

Police remind residents to remove valuables from their vehicles and lock the doors.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
