Woman Bitten By Dog

Lambton Public Health is trying to locate a dog and its owner after a woman was bitten last Saturday on Oakdale Ave. near the YMCA Learning and Career Centre in Sarnia.

The dog approached the woman and when she went to pet it, she was bitten on the leg.

The dog is described as a medium sized, black, Labrador Retriever. It was not wearing a collar.

If the dog is not found, the victim will have to receive post exposure rabies shots.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
