Blood Donor Clinic Closing

Sarnia residents wishing to donate blood can do so one last time today (Friday) before the city's permanent clinic closes Monday.

The clinic at Bayside Centre is open from 9am until 1pm and donors are still needed.

Canadian Blood Services Director of Donor Relations Michael Betel says Sarnia will have twice monthly mobile clinics beginning in August.

He says the decision to close the Sarnia clinic wasn't made lightly.

Mobile clinics are being held in Sarnia the first Wednesday of every month from 3pm-8pm at the Dante Club and the fourth Saturday of every month from 9am to 12pm at Temple Baptist Church.

Those wishing to donate blood during June and July can do so at mobile clinics in Forest, Petrolia and Watford.
