Kidney Foundation Event A Success

The Sarnia Kidney Foundation's annual Celebrity Men in Fashion event, held Thursday, is being termed a huge success.

Over $30,000 was raised, surpassing last year's total of $22,000.

Senior Development Manager Elaine Hayter says half of the funds raised stay right here in Sarnia-Lambton.

Hayter says one of the guests, NHL Hall of Famer Bryan Trottier, donated nine NY Islanders jerseys for the auction.

The Kidney Foundation's next event is the Christine Lebrasseur Memorial Golf Tournament, July 3 at Huron Oaks golf course.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
