Sting To Hold Media Conference

The Sarnia Sting will hold a media conference at the RBC Centre's Hive Bar and Grill Monday at 10am.

General Manager Nick Sinclair will announce the club's most recent player commitment.

There were reports Friday that 6' 2 " defenceman Josh Jacobs, a New Jersey Devils draft pick, will sign with the Sting after opting out of the Michigan State University hockey program after his freshman season.

The Sting drafted Jacobs in the fourth round of the 2012 OHL Priority Selection and made a strong push to sign the 19-year-old last fall.

The public is invited to Monday's announcement.

New Sting owners Derian Hatcher and David Legwand are both expected to attend.
