Wet Weather Shortening Golden Hawk Rededication

With the wet weather, the planned re-dedication of the refurbished F-86 Sabre Golden Hawk Sunday at 2pm at Germain Park will be brief.

RCAF 403 Wing President John Stewart advises the public to join them at the Air Force Club instead.

The Air Force Club is located in City Centre Mall at Capel and Exmouth streets.

Stewart is hopeful that former astronaut, Sarnia's Chris Hadfield will be in attendance.

Environment Canada issued a rainfall warning for the area Sunday.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
