CARSTAR'S Great Strides Walk for Cystic Fibrosis 2015 (Photo Courtesy of Sarnia-Lambton Cystic Fibrosis Canada Chapter via Facebook) Sunday’s CARSTAR’s Great Strides Walk for Cystic Fibrosis has raised 60 per cent more than last year's numbers.
A total of $12,281 was raised this year through donations. Last year the Sarnia local chapter raised just under $6,000.
It was a rainy event, but as cystic fibrosis patient Tara Bourque says, "the results made it all worth it!"
Participants from 65 locations across the country took part in the Great Strides Walk.
As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.
