Bailey Opposes Provincial Budget

The Ontario Liberal government's $120-billion budget, passed in the Legislature today, is drawing negative reviews by Sarnia-Lambton's Progressive Conservative MPP.

Bob Bailey says the budget paves the way for the sale of the majority of Hydro One.

Bailey is also concerned about how the Liberals' plan to whittle down the province's $8.5-billion deficit by spending so much money.

He says one positive about the budget is a commitment to the expansion of natural gas into rural Ontario.

The budget also includes adding $250-million into the youth jobs strategy, an increase to the Ontario child benefit, and strengthening the OSAP program.
