Bridge Race Registration Open Until Friday

The YMCA CHOK Bridge Race will have a different look for its 38th installment this weekend. Communications Manager Gerry Gillis says due to construction this years race will under the bridge, rather than over. She says with the change, they expect about half of the participants as they usually see, as they likely wont get as many US runners. She adds the flatter course this year has attracted new runners.

There will be three distances, a 10km, 5km, and a 1km kids fun run with a super hero theme, where the kids get a cape and mask to run with. Registration is still open until Friday afternoon, you can do so at www.raceroster.com The first race gets underway at 8am near the cannon at Canatara Park.

All proceeds from the race go to the YMCA's Strong Kids Campaign.
