ATV Driver Sought By Police

Sarnia police are looking for the driver of an ATV that failed to stop for police.

Around 4:30pm on Wednesday, an officer in the Talfourd-Queen St. area tried to stop a man on an ATV.

It's alleged the driver refused to stop and at one point accelerated at a high rate of speed at an officer who was outside his cruiser. Police say the officer had to jump out of the way to avoid being hit.

The ATV was last seen in the Russel-Campbell St. area when police called off their pursuit because of public safety concerns.

The ATV is described as a yellow three wheeled Yamaha.

The driver was wearing a white helmet and an olive colored T-shirt at the time of the incident.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Sarnia Police Services or Crime Stoppers.
