Broadway Star Performs In Petrolia

A little taste of Broadway is hitting the Victoria Playhouse in Petrolia on June 9.

Stage and screen star Ben Vereen will lead the company of performers during the play, "What a Wonderful World."

Vereen is most notable for his performances in Bob Fosse's Pippin, How I Met Your Mother, and various Broadway credits.

Audiences will be moved by the spirit and emotional power of uplifting and inspiring music during the performance. That's at least what Tony and Drama Desk Award winner, Ben Vereen, says attracted him to perform.

"It is a wonderful life. It's a wonderful journey. But the choice is yours," says Vereen about the inspiring story line.

He says the play really has an inspiring view that will bring out the good in people.

"Bring your bad times, bring your heart aches. Bring them. We got something for you," he says.

A ten-piece show choir along with the Starbright Band will be led by Mark Payne.

"What a Wonderful World" is on at the Victoria Playhouse in Petrolia from June 9-28.
