Centennial Consultation Continues

The second of three public meetings regarding the concept plan for Centennial Park will be held this evening (Tues) at Sarnia Bay Marina.

Local residents gave input late last month on everything from the relocation of the boat launch, accessibility, landscaping and playgrounds.

The plan also includes the demolition of the Dow People Place and construction of a new rotunda at the park

City staff will report back to the public tonight on different ideas brought forward and will be asked to vote on key areas they would like to see.

Tonight's meeting gets underway at 6:30. The next community consultation session will take place on June 29th.

Much of the park has been closed since May 2013 following the discovery of asbestos and other contaminants.
