E-Bike Rider Faces Charges

A 55-year-old Oil Springs man is facing charges after Lambton OPP pulled him over while riding an e-bike.

Police stopped him around 10am Wednesday morning in the area of Victoria St. in Oil Springs. It's alleged the man was under a court ordered driver’s licence suspension and was disqualified from operating a motor vehicle. During the course of the investigation, police allegedly seized suspected narcotics.

The man faces charges of driving while disqualified and possession of a narcotic. He has a June 24 court date in Sarnia to answer to the charges.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
