Research Day 2015

Lambton College and the Western Sarnia-Lambton Research Park have partnered for Research Day 2015 which gets underway at 8:30am Thursday. College Dean of Applied Research Dr. Mehdi Sheikhzadeh says it's a chance to highlight projects from both organizations as well as collaborative initiatives. [audio mp3="http://blackburnnews.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/mehdi-1.mp3"][/audio] Dr. Sheikhzadeh says one of the projects being highlighted is a flow monitoring of waste water and the prospect of a remote monitoring facility. The event is being held at the Lambton College Event Centre beginning at 8:30am.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
