Lambton College Graduation Saturday

Lambton College's 48th Annual Convocation Ceremony will be their biggest ever.

With apprentices, 2,112 students will walk the stage at the RBC Centre this Saturday.

Communications Manager Cindy Buchanan says it's about 100 more than the typical year.

She says new this year, they'll be streaming the ceremony at lambtoncollege.ca

The ceremony gets underway at 2pm.

Alyssa Kraayenbrink from Port Lambton will be awarded the Governor General's Collegiate Bronze Medal for graduating with the highest standing at the college.

This year's guest speaker is Mark Brand, an entrepreneur, and board member of TED-X.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
