Kim Mitchell Joins Powerboat Concert Series

The concert lineup at this year's Sarnia International Powerboat Festival now includes a special homecoming.

Sarnia's own Kim Mitchell will be joining Tom Cochrane and Red Rider Saturday August 8.

Mitchell, the former lead singer of Max Webster, went solo in 1982 and had big hits including "Go For A Soda" and "Patio Lanterns."

Co-organizer Michele Stokley says the powerboat festival has become a significant tourism draw.

The festival, August 7 to 9, also includes The Trews, and, of course, the powerboat racing Sunday afternoon.

Concert tickets are available at Stoke's Inland and Stoke's Bay and online at www.sarniapowerboats.com.
