Local Leaders Talk With Premier

Lambton County Warden Bev MacDougall was part of a delegation that met with Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne on Wednesday.

Premier Wynne along with the deputy premier, and municipal affairs minister, met with over a dozen southwestern Ontario mayors, wardens and councillors.

MacDougall says Premier Wynne seemed receptive to concerns raised about the urban and rural divide.

She says the provincial government talked about trying to partner with municipalities in the southwest region in an effort to re-fire the economy in the area.

Sarnia Mayor Mike Bradley was also in attendance at the meeting, held at the Delta Armouries in London.
