Crash Sends Three To Hospital

Three people were taken to hospital after a single vehicle crash in the city's south end Thursday night.

Sarnia police, fire and EMS responded to Wellington St. and Vidal St. just after 10pm.

Police say a truck travelling south on Vidal St. collided with a tree between Davis St. and Wellington St., ejecting a 30-year-old male passenger from the vehicle.

The 29-year-old male driver was extricated by Sarnia Fire and Rescue. He along with a 28-year-old woman, also a passenger in the vehicle, were taken to Bluewater Health with non-life threatening injuries.

Police say the driver was arrested for impaired driving and a breath sample indicated he was over the legal limit.

Joshua Brown of Sarnia has been charged with two counts of impaired driving causing bodily harm, two counts of driving over the legal limit causing bodily harm and two counts of dangerous driving causing bodily harm.
