A Light Agenda For City Council Today

Sarnia City Council will decide on the city's Integrity Commissioner at its meeting Monday. Council's public session begins at 4pm.

City of Sarnia Staff are recommending Robert J. Swayze be hired for the city's Integrity Commissioner. His role would allow neutral, independent oversight of city conduct expected of elected and appointed officials.

Residents have requested a zoning by-law amendment that would allow for open storage of RV's, trailers, and boats during the camping season.

The city is moving forward with an upgrade to the Bright's Grove Lagoon system. The engineering preliminary work will cost of nearly $458,000, the construction another $5-million.

Staff endorse the grant application for Centennial Park as the first priority under the Canada 150 Infrastructure Grant Program.

AND A lease approval of city lands could lead to the development of a Battery Energy Storage Facility.
