Update: Criminal Investigation Underway In Early Morning Fire

The Sarnia Police Service Criminal Investigations Branch says it's investigating a structure fire on Murphy Rd.

Sarnia Fire and Rescue along with Sarnia police responded to a structure fire at 978 Murphy Rd. just after 1:30am Thursday morning.

Platoon Chief John Bernier says the fire was fully engulfed when they arrived on scene.

Four people were able to make it out of the home safely and no injuries are reported.

No damage estimate is yet available, but is expected to be extensive.

Four stations responded.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
