Ontario's AQHI Gets Thumbs Up from Lambton Public Health

Lambton Public Health says Ontario's new Air Quality Health Index provides more accurate information on pollutants to keep residents healthy.

Much like the UV index, the health index uses a scale from one to ten, with lower numbers representing better air quality.

Supervisor Lori Lucas says when the AQI is high, there are a number of things people can do to keep safe.

There have been no reported smog days in Sarnia since 2012.

The new system was launched Wednesday.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
