ROCK Ride BBQ a Success

A successful year for the ROCK Ride BBQ, that was held outside Play It Again Sports Thursday at Lambton Mall.

They sold roughly 290 burgers, 160 Sausages, 100 bags of chips and 300 pops and water.

A new record of $1050 was raised at Thursday's event, it's the first time the event has passed the thousand dollar mark.

Proceeds go to the Rock Ride for our cancer Kids, which takes place Saturday, July 4.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
