Sarnia Native Marches on Parliament Hill

A Sarnia native will march in the Canada Day Parade on Parliament Hill. Cpl. David Belet is a SCITS grad and Canadian Forces Reservist.

Belet, a reservist with the 1st Hussars, says he is proud to wear the scarlet tunic and bearskin headdress of the Ceremonial Guard of the Canadian Armed Forces, one of the most recognizable military units in Canada. The changing of the Ceremonial Guard and its Pipes & Drums has been one of the biggest summer attraction at Parliament hill for over 50 years. Belet says he's undergone three weeks of intensive drill training to learn the precision movements. He'll take part in Ceremonial Guard appearances in Ontario over the summer.
