Bluewater Health is welcoming a new pathologist. Dr. Shahid Malik will join the hospital's professional staff this month. Since 2003, Dr. Malik has been a pathologist at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, including serving as the Director and Chief of Laboratory Medicine at the Cape Breton District Health Authority. Pathologists have expertise in using lab tests to diagnose and treat disease. Bluewater Health says, since 2009, it has recruited more than 35 new physicians to meet the needs of Sarnia-Lambton residents.
